Rogue Spear for Macintosh (January 16th, 2001)
|

|
Found this interesting tidbit on Planet Rainbow Six;
"First of all, the Rogue Spear for Mac is called version 1, but it is the Rogue Spear: Urban Ops Build v2.50. It is compatible online with other Rogue Spear: Urban Ops v2.50s for PC. However, since RSE released the v2.52 for Urban Operations, I'm pretty sure that Mac RS owners will be hard pressed to find v2.50 games to join with. Thus, it looks like they will be locked into their own community for the time being. Hopefully MacSoft will release the Mac version of the v2.52 patch so the life-long grudge matches of PC vs. Mac can finally take form.
Also, it would seem that mods for RS PC will not work for RS Mac. Pity, as you will be hard pressed to find modders with both a PC and Mac(somehow people dislike those 2 to co-exist ;-)) to port RS PC mods to Macintosh. Either that must happen, or the Mac community has to grow big enough by its own right to produce RS Mac modders within the community."
It looks like the Mac community have something to see forward too...

Because of the bug, consumers may experience slow processing or data corruption if they connect a second monitor or an additional graphics card through one of the PCI expansion slots in a Pentium 4 computer.
